Jumpin' Jesus - The Art of Crucifying

One of the most inappropriately named metal bands in my opinion, these guys band name perhaps would've suited a jokey thrash or crossover band better. Anyhow, Germany's Jumpin' Jesus was far from that musically, these guys were all about the death metal, and they were pretty badass too as it goes. Varying levels of technicality and a thrashy edge made these guys stand out, it's just a shame they never stuck around for long after releasing this their single full length release. Judecca - Scenes Of An Obscure Death E.P

The 1993 EP from US gnarled death metallers Judecca here, pre-dating their one and only full length studio album from 1996 which was featured earlier in this very blog. Picked this up cheap from Dark Descent Records as they sell off a fair bit of sealed legit Wild Rags releases even to this day. Well worth checking out, as is all Judecca's stuff.

Judecca - Beyond, What The Eyes Can't See...

US underground death metallers Judecca seem to be one of the most highly sought after bands on the old Wild Rags label. I'm not surprised, as the death metal they produce was fucking great (if not a little let down by weak production). Still, this was the bands only full length studio album from 1996, in its original first pressing on Wild Rags.

Jaldaboath - Hark the Herald E.P

This is pretty damn eccentric, from James Fogarty - the mind behind Ewigheit, and the early works of Meads of Asphodel. This is the debut EP, released on a 3" CD, with a paper parchment listing all the knights who fought at the Battle of Haystings. Nutty as a squirrels turd, and pretty enjoyable too luckily. Released on Fogarty's own Death to Music anti-label.

Judas Iscariot - Of Great Eternity

This is the original pressing on Elegy records, and my personal favourite of Judas Iscariot's work. It always amazed me that this one stayed out of print for so long seeing as it had such a evil, unwholesome vibe around it. Luckily it was re-issued, but with different cover art that didn't quite match the greatness of this one. Check out the sheer power of might that is "The Heavens Drop with Human Gore"...
